RX-8 and Perma-Plate??

If you watch the top left, you'll see lots of shots of our beautiful RX-8.
I went to the website because I should be taking delivery of my Rx-8 this next weekend. In talking to the Sales Manager, he has agreed to have the Paintguard and the Leatherguard done for FREE since it has taken so long to get my car.
I did a search and found some old thread about some people having this done to their cars. Nothing very useful though.
Anyone have any opinions? Is this good stuff?
ALSO: since I'll be using zaino, will the paintguard come come off when I use dawn soap / claybar?

Finally, a dealer charging what that stuff is worth. Do you really think that there is some magic stuff that only a dealer can sell you? Zaino is better than anything they're going to do.
