I wouldn't say alot of problems. A few of the 8s have a few problems (recals and such, what first year cars don't) and a few quirks inherent to the engine (torque, mileage, and hopefully never to be seen again flooding).

Test drive it before you consider buying it (the relatively low torque seems to be a turn-off for some).

only problem really is the Fuel economy, and slightly less power then advertised.

my rx8 has 6,500 miles and im still getting 13-15 mpg. but the ride is Awesome! and will be even better once they have more mods out

a small % of any make of car has a few problems, particularly the first model year. Those with problems generally make more noise when / after they have them. I consider the small things going on (for most of us) tolerable. Take a browse of the larger threads and you'll learn what you need to, eventually!

RX 8 Question

Love my 8. 5800 miles and no problems. The other thing about the 8 is that people who see it still stop and stare and make comments such as "cool car". I think it is just a great ride. Go for a ride and you will be hooked. Talk about great handling guys. It is one of the tightest little cars around.

My 8

I'll tell you what. I've got 6000 miles on my 8 and have not had one single problem. Not one. I suggest a test drive to see for yourself what all of us have. Good luck.

Not to be too rude, but - I thought you'd said you'd read in a lot of places? Please spend some time and do some reading HERE!!!

(Flooding was a minor issue that affected a few who didn't follow Mazda's cautions about cold starts properly. However, Mazda issued a revised engine computer program (they call it PCM flash) in April that eliminated the problems with flooding entirely.)

Gordon
