Cool RX-8 RC Cars @ Radio Shack

Radio Shack currently has remote control RX-8 cars on sale for around $16 after tax. The only color for the 8 is a dark gray that's basically black. But, they also have Acuras, Toyotas, and Nissan 350z's in a variety of colors...

It's nothing spectacular, but it's not a bad price for a model RX-8 to put on your work desk or what not as a knick knack. In my neighborhood (San Gabriel Valley), the RX-8's are going fast, as I had to go to 2 different stores before I could find one.

So, if you're interested, run out and get yours before they sell out.

Couldn't find the RX-8 on RadioShack.com. Is it made by ZipZaps?

I have one. The MPG sux and the defrost button broke after a week. And don't talk to me about the torque!

well, like i said, it's nothing spectacular as far as toys go. but, it's nice to have nonetheless...

as far as the complaints about the mpg, defrost, and mpg, the 2007 evo x will have all of us crying, if not in hp denial...

I have the Nikko car in silver (No it dosn't have any body damage yet). The car is slow. It does come with hard plastic tires for "drifting". I haven't tried it, the drifting part, yet.

I don't know man, mine can keep up with that supra they offer!

But yeah, its nothing special as far as an rc car. The "drifting" tires make you spin out for the most part.

Radio Snack downstairs from my office. Picked one up at lunchtime today.

Dark grey, closer to a darker Galaxy Grey (which matches my real one) than to black. Hood is matte finish, like they're trying for the CF effect, but still has the rotary sculpting. No rotary accents at the back or under the front grille.

Once I peeled all those rice stickers off it looks pretty good. Not bad for $15 plus tax.
