Hey guys. I'm finally biting the bullet and getting rid of my '05 RX-8. I know there will be questions asked about why I'm getting rid of a car I love so much, so I'll answer that right now. I'm getting married later this year and I have plans of buying a house soon too, so a $400 car payment and gas and insurance just isn't in the budget anymore. Anyways, the car is Velocity Red, 6 speed manual tranny, 25,000 miles on the odometer. Not a dent anywhere on the car. The interior is black and charcoal cloth. Also flawless. I performed the recommended break-in on the car for the first 1,000 miles and 3,000 mile oil changes so you know the engine has been taken care of. I'm not sure what the prices out in cali are but I got a dealer down my neck of the woods selling an 05 red GT , everything but nav, 16K miles for 18,000.

I got my 06 with 0 miles on it for 23k out the door. I only have 7.5k miles on it and I'm pretty sure I couldnt get more then 18k for it, if that.

 

Keep the car, wait for the housing market to cool. Sub-prime problems in US. Foreclosures on the rise. What you save on a property in San Diego by waiting will pay for your car 3 times over.......
