RX 8 sold!
Hi all! I finally sold my RX 8 after 2 1/2 months. A great guy bought her and is now the proud owner. Thought you may like to know the sale price.......She sold for $18,000...I included the winter tires too! I had the GT , auto with black/ red leather, moonroof, rotary accent pkg, piano black b pillars etc. Not too bad..... I would have liked a few hundred more but I figured it was going to be a rare person who would enjoy a car like this since it is so unique and the time of year is tough. I now own an Electric Blue Mazda CX 7 GT with black leather and I must say this was the perfect transition vehicle for me. Got S plan pricing and she's fast!!! I was sad about my 8....to me it was and still is the most beautiful car out there inside and out! What a design. I mentioned to the car sales manager that they should throw a turbo in the 8 like the CX7's and Mazdaspeeds and he said they may be talking about that. I just feel the rotary just needs more tweaking(obviusly) before it's gonna be just right for the real world! They are almost there but not quite yet! I will still be checking in from time to time since I still feel a connection to my 8 and 8's in general!! I hope all is well for everyone! Wendy.....Cruzdreamerundefined

Been a while since you've posted. Was wondering if you had went with something else, as I remember you were disappointed with the gas mileage.
The new ride looks great, so enjoy for many years to come.

Why do people feel the need to make a new thread bragging about how much they sold their RX-8 for? Seriously, it's like people are more or just as excited to sell the cars are they are to buy them. And the fact that other owners congratulate them for it just doens't make sense to me. It was my understanding that the purpose of this forum and the community in general was to share in the joys of ownership and to keep the car as we are enthusiasts, not to be happy we sold it or even bitch about the re-sale/trade in value as I've seen in the past. If the intention was top just keep it for a few years then get rid of it, then please stop buying performance/niche cars.

is because they want a different car. The only way to find out if they like the car or not is to try it out. Wendy obiously enjoyed the car and still loves it but she would be happier with the CX7 and thats great for her. I dont think anybody that posts these is bragging or hating on the 8 they are simply just saying there thoughts and opinions on their car. Most of the talk of 8s on this forum are positive, but even the the threads that do seem negative have there place as they are all up for discussion. Sure its a place to praise the 8, but owners will still discuss EVERY little thing about the car, be it bad or good.
Dont be so Bitter.

Coleman, I agree with you as well. I for one was very curious on the price the car sold for. I also clicked on the pic of the new car. I really don't like to read the complaining posts either but I'd much rather see an Rx8 in the hands of a new owner that appreciates the car.

Camaro, stop quoting me with rolling eyes. Or I shall quote you before you quote me, quoting you sayin what I would have said, except you said it.

Huh?
I was not bragging about selling my car and for how much......mainly as good info. for those who have to sell for various reasons. It helps to know what is going on. And by the way, people can get excited about getting a car other than the 8. Don't rush to judgement on posts.....you don't know me and if you did you'd know I don't brag. I still love the 8 and am an enthusiast! I love cars in general. Thanks Blue Renesis and others for knowing and appreciating my post on my sold 8! Enjoy your 8's....I did for three years!!!! Now I am enjoying my CX 7 and it's exciting too!!!
