I wear one while driving my 8. It increases mpg due to Einstein-ian relativity time dilation effects.
I calculate I'll save back the $3,000 price in just 475,000 miles, but only if I don't ever look at it! :D

Wooo ... that's hot! Two things I love ... the RX8 and watches!!! If only I were had that kinda of cash to burn.
Hmm ... i think this watch will definitely add 56.2 hp to my RX8. Yesss! And being an Automatic watch ... it'll transfer any extra power to my car, hence less battery drain. Sweet!
This is definitely on the "to get" list.

This watch has been posted a number of times (do a search) -- they are German not Swiss and Sinn is considered a respectable brand but not top of the line. $3000 is outrageous considering they were a freebie gift to the first 888 German RX-8 pre-orders (we got a lousy thermos and cup ). I can get one for $1800 but still not worth it -- you can get a great Omega, etc. for $1800.

Here's what my wife bought me last Christmas- it's all titanium and is unbelievably light, plus it's an Ecodrive and never needs batteries... it's pretty sweet:

from the pics, it appears that the watch is a perpetual motion watch...meaning it has no battery and you don't wind it...well, manually anyways.
it has an off balanced weight inside it that swings around whenever its moved, which causes the winding of it. when its fully "wound" it should last for about a week without being moved, after that it dies. so pretty much, you have to remember to wear it everyday. at $300 i'd say its a bit pricy. at $2000-3000, i'd say its a rip off. still, looks nice though.

That RX8 watch is nice, but not for $3K or even $1500, could do much better for that kind of money.
