RX-8 stays running w/o keys..?

So this has been happening to me for awhile now.. Thought it was normal I guess.. Happens every now and then..

I have a '07 6spd AT. No problems really.. Except this odd one.

Some days, after putting the 8 on P and shutting it off, the car somehow still stays on.. To fix this, I have to put the keys back in and twist it once more so it stays off.. Strange thing is, after actually thinking it's off, it comes back on.. Not as in starting the engine, but as in it wasn't ever turned off. Weird eh? And yeh, I completely turn the key out too.. I'm guessing my car has sleep mode or something.. Anyone else have this going on or is this somewhat normal? Haha..

I've heard that by itself too.. But nah, I'm talking about the engine running. At first, it was only the fans

I have to hear it again though. Just to make sure.

ooo i had this problem. ok here's what you have to do: from now on when you get out of your 8, DO NOT use the door. Crawl out of the window without using your arms. then make sure that you spin around 3 times and do a jig....

but it will only work if you video tape it and post on the forum

You use the key?
I'll have to pull mine out sometime just to see what it looks like.

Seems like all the engine blowing up/misc random problems are all various years of automatics...

Check the tachometer. Or, if you think the engine is running but all of the instruments are off, try holding your hand near one of the exhaust outlets.

Because your engine fans run when it's at a certain temperature.

A note for RotaryP7 . The engine is the thing under the cover marked Renesis . You can see if it is running by taking the cover off and watching the front of it for things that go around and around .
The fans are in a different place closer to the front of the car but you can't see them without removing some stuff . When they are running they sound like ........ like..........well they sound like fans really .
