Please excuse my Pulpit. I have no anomosity toward this poster. In fact, he is probably the exception to the rule............

But everytime I see these kinds of posts, I feel I must say something to all parents out there that are trying to buy their kids love by putting them in a sports car that they have no business operating and very well may kill themselves in............

I live in Raleigh, NC where those four "good kids" killed themselves by ramping an 8 over the barrier, traveled 60 feet airborne before they crashed and died. I actually talked with friends of the family and they all told me that they were "good kids", "not the type that would do this kinda thing".................it makes me sick.........

Again, I in no way am dissing this poster; but I get so tired and bothered by parents that don't realize that their kids are, well, kids, and that they are not prepared to handle themselves or others in a car that is fast enough to kill them (or others).....

Can I shout it from the rooftops. Parents!! I don't care how rich you are are how badly you feel that you need to buy your kid's love, DO NOT put them behind the wheel of a car that is dangerous to young inexperienced minds. Do the right thing, regardless of your own peer pressure, and get them a beater Volvo..................

sorry, forgive my sermon............................................ ...........

Enjoy your car and have fun. Just be safe. I'm 39 now but I remember my 17 days...... Every car I drove I drove fast. I had a 73 Camaro with a bunch of horsepower and lost my license twice. Just please be careful. Now I'm 39 and own a red RX8. Totally different than the Camaro but I love to drive it. Maybe I can hang onto my license this time. At 17 your reflexes are fast and accurate; but your EGO is huge and at 17 there is no fear. So please be careful. Go Enjoy !!!!!

Again, I suggest that any parent who gives their teenager a fast car needs to get some really good insurance so they will enjoy living off the kid's 'earnings' after they plant him!

Also believe all female teenagers should either spend a couple of years working in a famine camp, or do a military tour in Iraq or Pakistan, just so they don't grow up and turn into Paris Hilton, or try to make love to Flavor Flav!
