RX 8 on the town last night

Last night the 8 went down to Ruth's Chris steak house in Tampa, Pretty fancy place,,so just had to say it is so sweet owning an 8!!

We pulled up to the valet and of course there are about 15 people standing around all staring at the car... so the valet comes over and I hand him the " warning paper" that was on this site about moving and flooding it, he seem confused, so I explained it again that You can not start the car and move it around once it is parked it is park until I come out based on the engine this has..then the other 4 valets come over and they just want to see the car and the inside.... so we have dinner and come out to get the car...

There she was parked in front with a Benz, Ferrari and another Benz...was a cool feeling...knowing we have somthing special.

F355, 360, n 430 are my favs.... So we have a special disclaimer for valets huh? This flooding thing is starting to really scare me... can't believe it'd be such an issue.

Unless your dinner was over 2 hours long I don't think flooding would be an issue.

funny you bring up the Skylien deal...there is an Infiniti Dealer here in TPA that has a " Skyline G35?? no clue what it is...the Steaks are great IMO, I have been to quite a few steak houses and Ruth's is my favorite! The 8 looked sweet in line with the big boys!! funny how it looks so good and costs so much less

OK MrKinn, going to try to help with the Skyline deal. Now over in Japan a G35 Coupe is a skyline and I have seen one in Orlando, a long time ago, white where the guy had pull all of the Infiniti badges off and put the skyline ones on, and I think he changed the grill as well. It is some thing that can be done. I could not find any pics to support this transformation, but I have seen it before. It is possible, someone did the same thing with a 350z, just for effect, unless they really went thru the whole ordeal to import a REAL Skyline, which would then be Right hand drive. That is as much as I know, I think there is an Infiniti/Nissan site or two that sell the badge kits as a set.

I have a hard time believing 15 people were standing around staring at the 8.

First off I did not say 15 people came over and looked at the car..."WE PULLED UP TO THE VALET WHERE THERE WERE 15 PEOPLE..it is a place of business and others were waiting on their cars...so Yes there were 15 people looking at the RX8

As far as giving them the letter or explaining not to move the car around, is based on I know a few people there and you never know when a trip there might turn into a 3 hour trip... good lord

Ya, I have always wondered about valeting a car. Do you have any insurance or pull on them if they take it for a joy ride or abuse it or anything? I mean, it's hard to prove that they abused the car, but if you reset the spedometer at 0 and you would be able to tell.
