Those were some great videos! It's pretty obvious that the S2000 can pull ahead on the straights but overall, the two seem pretty closely matched.

Great video - really shows a nice 3rd gear pull for both. clearly the s2000 pulls harder even at higher speeds - so either the guy i saw didn't floor it for some reason, of we underestimated the 150 - 200 lbs mark. musta been a couple of hefties in there...

I like how the 8 hung the s2000 out to dry in one of the corners. The s2000 understeered into the dirt. On a public road, he'd be in the ditch.

From a dig, the RX-8 cannot keep up with most. However, at highway speeds, before my turbo , I could keep up with a 350Z 6spd which was real surprising to both the Z guy and me.

having a linear torque curve and another 4000 rpm (5000-9000) to accelerate with has its advantages... cough, triple, cough, digits
