RX-8 Virtual Focus Group from Mazda - just got invited
I just got called to be part of a "virtual focus group" conducted online among RX-8 owners. Haven't gotten details on it yet, but has anyone else gotten this call?
Ironically, I'm one of the most satisfied owners out there - only thing wrong with mine is an occasional creak from the driver's seat.

PHone call as well from somewhere in Manitoba. Woman sounded like she was from the set of Bob & Doug Mackenzie's Great White North. (Who is old enough to remember that?)
I'll post contents of the email when it comes.

I got a call today for the same thing. Was going to post it but StewC625 beat me to it. Waiting for an e-mail with details. I'm also in the no issues group...makes you wonder how they made their selections.

They called me the other day, but I wasn't at home. My dad answered and gave them the wrong e-mail address to contact me at. Do you know if there's a number I can call so that I can participate? I would like to.

Okay, I just did their survery thing. Its a web based questionaire that makes you use a pre-registered email address (the one you signed up with) to answer general compalints about the RX8. Its not a open based forum, it gives you a selection of general areas like : transmisson, brakes, exterior paint, interior trim.... then once you select one it gives you choices of things that could be wrong with your car, you just click the box (leaky seals, squealing brakes, etc.) and have an area to make additional complaints about the car.
They have a "no Problems box" that lets you click on it and just make general comments, so I talked about how great the car was made, but how it needs more power, like a 3 rotor supercharged mazdaspeed version(you can call it an RX-9.) I doubt they'll take it seriously, but my 8 hasn't had any problems since it flooded the first week that I had it in June 2004.

HEY! If anyone responding cares to, or is motivated by the fact they bought the NAV.... Tell them that even the oldest RX-8's had outdated maps, they should give out free updates to all Nav owners, if and when the update disk EVER comes out.

The lady that called me sounded like a sweet little grandmother from the midwest. Still haven't seen any email from Mazda yet.

Must have something to do with the zeroes I rated the dealer on the sales side.
Seriously, I have never received any communication from Mazda regarding consumer issues or even the airbag recall. They have my correct address, I have verified on several occasions.

If they meant to stack they deck they didn't know I had dropped the `8 off for service on Tuesday.
