NoTears316 is testing everyone that reads this thread to see if they are epileptic!

I stared at it for 3 minutes and nothing happened, that I remember.

Did you seriously just start a thread to tell everyone that you're the Comparison Police?

Nice.

Not ported, but I have the OBX Header, Greddy SP2, and the RB cat delete pipe, Apexi cone filter in the stock air box (sounds nice, not loud (intake) but deeper than stock).

Car sounds pretty damned mean when cranking on it.

Of course the RX-8 is not quite the no-compromise sports car the FD was, but I love it the same, and now that I have a step daughter the 4 door, 4 seat "family car" aspect of it makes it that much better.
I too owned a '93 RX-7 and 2 '88 TurboII RX-7's, before my '04 RX-8. The SE, FD, and FC are all completely different in feel, handling, power delivery. And as another member suggested, I too felt the FC to be a closer kin to the RX-8 than the FD. I loved my FD, but for a college kid at the time, with and FC and an FD, it was getting to be too much to keep the FD. I too looked at the 350 to replace my TSi (yes I migrated away for 4 years), and simply wasn't impressed. But found the RX-8 to be the most practical, and most alive car I'd owned.

(2007) RX-8 $26,000+ (now)

RX-7 255HP
RX-8 238HP

RX-7 TWIN TURBO
RX-8 NATURALLY ASPIRATED

RX-7 2826 lb
RX-8 2888-3029 lb

RX-7 2 door coupe
RX-8 4 door 2+2

RX-7 5-speed
Rx-8 6-speed

RX-7 4 port
RX-8 6 port

Driving the rx-7 compared to the rx-8 is a completely different feel. So unless you have physically driven both cars, please dont compare the two.

I'm sure most the the previous rx-7,rx-2,rx-3 owners will agree.

Im sorry for the rant but this has been killing me everytime i see a comparison thread.

thanks for making another comparison thread.

I have this video from japan comparing the rx7 fd and the rx8. pretty interesting.
They're pro racers though, so I'm sure the dig the rx7 fd more.
I can probably rip it/compress it and ftp it for you. Let me know if you havent seen it or interested.

I think it's a great video.

*Forgot:
Did you see the price between the RX8 and RX7 FDs? It's "like" brand new for RX8 while atleast 70K+ miles on the FD.

rx7/rx8 both have unique looks...

Kinda looks like mx6. I probably just have too much imagination:
