You think the oil filter on the 8 is hard to get to?
I think its one of the best oil filters to change because the opening sits vertically so all the oil drains out of it. Try changing the oil on a 2JZ engine like the ones in Supras or the SC300. I did my friend's and literally took me forever because the damn filter wouldn't come off it was almost impossible getting it out of there and not to mention it held so much oil inside it because of the position it was in.

rx is a piece of cake worst 2 in automotive history are 1980s first gen Toyota MR2 and the V6 Pontiac Fieros, both rear engine cars that require like 3 long extensions and a filter cup. The MR2 if changed hot will drip on the exhaust and usually catch fire while it drains. My 1st summer job was at a jiffy lube in 1985

I havnt had to mess around with mine yet but im glad to hear that its an easy car to work on. just peaking around had started to get me worried, because under the hood, spaces look tight, and everything is kinda piled on top of everything.
my last car (s2000) was probably the easiest car to work on, didnt have to jack the car up to do an oil change or nothing.
only thing that was a bitch was changing the clutch, and replacing convertible top. i never want to do that again.

My mini was awful to work on. The filter was wedged where no human can get at it, and it was a cartridge type which was horrendous to seat properly and tighten without ripping gaskets (even the dealers rip the gasket roughly half the time), and everything else was super cramped too.
