Unhappy

Hey, it looks like the Canadians get headlight washers! That isn't even an available option in the US!

You want those? I rather have them without. It throws off the smooth lines of the car.

Agreed. I'm not taking my 8 out off-roading in the mud, so I don't need or want them. Leave them for the undeveloped countries [FLAME SUIT ON]

Me neither. But I do intend to drive the car year-round, and in regions of the world that have more than 1 season, that means driving in snow and slush, which means road spray that cruds up the headlights very quickly. Headlight washers make the difference between stopping on the side of the road every 20 minutes to wipe off the lights and being able to see properly when travelling on the highway after sunset. Skiers like me are especially appreciative of this option.

Regards,
Gordon

You saw the black and red 8 in person.
Tell me, in your opinion which was the better looking color on the 8?
I have heard from my father that the red color is not the color I am thinking it is. He said it looks nice but is not the typical red shade that is seen on most sports cars. The black seems beautiful in just about every photo I've seen of it. I'd love to hear your comments on the two colors now that you've seen them up close.

The red is a VERY metallic scarlet color, only looks good in direct sunlight, other wise it looks kind of dull.

Like the orange MSP, looks really good in the sun but not so good in the shade or under artificial light.

What about the black? Does it look as good in person on the 8 as it does in the photos? Also, do you think it takes away from the grill or anything else?
Thanks for the info on the red.
Everytime I've seen a photo of the 8 in red it looked to be a different shade (due to lighting, I'm sure).
Some pictures of it in that shade look fabulous, and some not so great. I could never get a good feel for the true color. My father had has seen it in red, and he was the one who first told me that it is a different looking shade of red and not the shade I was probably thinking it was. He didn't say it was not attractive on the 8, he just said it was not the typical red shade normally seen on sports cars, like I was probably assuming it was. (which didn't help me out much, lol)

But you live in Canada. I thought it was standard there (i.e. Not an Option)??

But remember I am a laid back Southern Californian. The snow in our mountians is sprayed on durning cold nights only where it is needed and not in the streets.

That is why I was so naive about people in other parts of the u.s. who have to deal with inclement weather.

Apologies to all.

The black looks like black. Standard color, not a really deep black, just black...it does look good.

I am waiting for Winning Blue...:D

Having seen the Blue, it will not disappoint. Glad that it was my pick.
