I live in pakistan and recently imported a six speed manual mazda rx8(2005) from japan . The car is going to arrive within a week or so. I have a few question from you people:


1. Can i play dvd through my satellite navigation system display. If yes, what equipment would i require.

2. Can i plug in my "creative zen vision m", mp3 player to my car stereo. What equipment shall i require.

3. Can i change the language of my car navigation system from japnese to english. Furthermore, how can i input islamabad map into the gps.

2. Zen, aftermarket adapter (Dogpile.com it ), I believe the mp3 became optional in 06, so you might need to order the new deck to replace the cd player.

3. Don't know, you will need the DVD map, center console in the back flip up holds the player. I don't know if MAPS are provided in your region, sorry.

If the 3rd issue is the case, your better off getting a corksports.com DIN adapter, replace the stereo all together, and piggyback the NAV monitor to the new doubledin stereo IMO (Provided it plays dvds). which will solve your issue completely, provided you get a Zune compatible player, which is more common in 2008.

Alternate option is to get the DIN adapter & go Carputer, that's if there is not aftermarket NAV systems in your area.. which i'd be surprised if there wasn't...
