RX8 or 350Z???
I've been doing a lot of researching about the 2 cars. I've driven the Z and I like the feel of it. I just recently drove the RX8 yesterday and I think I'm getting the 8 instead now.
Anybody care to share some thoughts about the 8 and the Z?

Go there...
There are more sites on the net just look for them...Most of them say the rx8 wins hands down.

Yeah, I figured it'd be hands down on the 8 here -- But, I've been officially cpnverted. Went on my first test drive yesterday, and I'm pretty much sold.

Oh, but to give my opinion on your question.
I have 2 basicly life-long best friends. One of them got an 8, and the other one got a Z.
The one with the 8 has had it for almost 2 years I think, and the Z guy has had his for about 8 months or so. I've rode in them both extensively (they are both stingy and dont let anyone drive them) I personaly think the ride in the 8 is hands down the funnest ride i've ever had in any car. The Z may be just as fast or faster, but when it comes down to riding in the cars, the 8 SEEMS faster, and in all honesty that's all I care about, I could care less if my car IS faster, but doesnt feel faster. I wanna be in the car that is fun to drive, fun to ride in, and FEELS like a fun fast ride.
my 2 cents.
PS: Im about to buy an 8.

I test drove both before buying an 8.
The Z has more power, its heavier, and more work to drive. The handling is not as good, but in a straight line, it's way faster then an 8. It also looks like an expensive designer label sneaker of the sort a football or basketball player might wear. In other words, it's not my style.
The 8 is nimble, light, and designed to maintain speed through corners rather then powering out of them. Shifting is effortless, and has a wonderful tactile feel that quickly becomes a part of you. You also get the benefit of having a Rotary engine in the 8 (geek points for exotic power plant), and you get back seats. Finally, the 8 looks a hell of a lot nicer then the 350z, and there are fewer 8's on the road, making it a real looker. 9 out of 10 hot dates prefer the look of the 8.
So really, its down to your personal preference. They are both powerful, high performance machines, and they are about equal on a track as well.

I had to get a 4 seater atleast, so there was no other choice but to chose 8 over Z. Best of luck in your decision, let me post this article to bias you

my basic evaluation......
if you like casual sex, no strings attached, and is definitly polygamous, hate cudling, get a Z
if you like forplay, intimacy, loves your gf/wife, pretty much monogamous(at one time) get the 8
to some it all up,
350Z=****
RX-8=sex
your call

It was meant as a little joke anyway. I don't like the roofline. I'd go for the G37 over the 350Z.

Pluses for the 350Z:
Faster in a straight line.
Way more torque
Better reliability
Better fuel mileage
Minus for the 350Z:
300 lbs heaver
Cheap interior
Choppy ride
Only 2 seats
Crappy engine sound inside the car
Plus for the RX-8:
More fun to drive
Better ride quality
Slightly better breaks
More agile
4 seats
Better looking and better quality interior
Minus for the RX-8:
No torque in the engine
Poor fuel economy even for a sports car.
Engine reliability issues maybe unresolved.
Poor service from Mazda
