I coined the term "race slammed" as a joke to them saying, "This thread doesnt have anything to do with function!" so I went with it. Apparently RX8s can't be slammed no matter what you do to them... lol whatever floats their boats. It was hilarious and all of the H-T OGs as well as myself had a good time picking on the APC tards. Its funny to see it carry over to here.

All that BS he talked about his friends RX8 and I'm still lower on a much more aggressive stance than he is. But at the end of the day I simply like fking with people. People take the internet WAY too serious.

As far as those wheels go, they are badass (local guy has them on his STi Forrester).. Lets just say, the wheels aren't what's ugly about that setup.
As much as I didn't want to bring up this thread, I did want to get things straight.

You called many of their car's buckets, told them they could never afford your rx8, and generally insulted their cars as garbage. Sorry man but insulting their **** for how worthless it seems to you is pretty low, even if you were "joking."

Our cars are about the same height, I never made claims of being lower and I don't think he did either. The tires mounted in the pictures are a pretty tall profile, yes taller than your 45/17s, lifting it higher off the ground. Lower on a "much more aggressive stance"? As you know with no lip/sides the rx8 seems pretty high as well, I curious how you came to that conclusion?

Seeing fn01s 24/7 in the drift scene and the used prices on zilvia causes one to be jaded. Hell, even the 5zigen thread is full of them.

Even if it means more hate on myself, this car is mine dammit, not Alex's! Everyone who reads this thread assumes its his, hahahaha

I've read over the initial post and some of the comments here. A lot of this is laughable but a big thanks to tiltmode43 for clearing up the fact that the car in question doesn't belong to the self proclaimed expert in the honda s2000.

Being an owner with FN01R-C's on my car, I shake my head at the fact that my 5zigens might be considered "cheap" wheels. In fact, I've found the reason why they are so very popular. They are pretty light weight, look good and are very durable. I've taken some pot hole hits here in the city that should have broken my wheels but they held up. I get compliments on my wheel choice as I think it fits my car well.

Anyone who displays the kind of arrogance the author of that post does should be simply ignored. While I love blogs and the blogging community, it does give a false sense of importance. Coming from the racing community, if I saw the OP's honda 2000 anywhere near a race track I'd be laughing at him.

Offset isn't the end all be all of your import design. If all you are concerned about is looks then maybe it is. I was more concerned with wheel diameter and size. Having a crazy offset with wheels sticking out past the fenders with super stretched tires doesn't work in the environments I drive in.

Even so, as a good friend of mine once said..."to each his own." I have my judgements but I'm not going to tell anyone they can't do something.

It's just getting irritating seeing people sign up here in RX8club and suddenly they are RX8 experts and we're all just a bunch of dummies. I certainly hope people start checking their ego at the door and take a seat so they can learn something before acting like they are teaching the class.
