Welcome to the forum. You could search for it. As of what I know, there is the AEM CAI and the Racing Beat Revi w/ Ram Air Duct CAI.

Thanks... I'll look into it

I was actually going to custom a carbon fiber one with shroud and all + and probaly even foam filter it.

Would you guys be interested in something like this?

I wonder what the HP increase would be?

ANyway, Thanks, guys

I'm no expert but the general consensus from those who have tried a variety of CAI options seems to be that there's not a huge gain (maybe 10hp if you're lucky).

FI is the only way you're going to get appreciable hp gains.

But knock yourself out - you may just have a better idea than what's been tried to date.

If you could actually get a 10 hp gain from a CAI system you would be doing very good!

Post Racing Beat REVi Intake Kit with Ram Air Duct Add-on

I have been watching the after-market arena for the RX8 since I finally got my '04 in Oct '03. I have been most impressed by the work done by the Racing Beat crew. Does anyone have any thoughts into tried and true "upgrades" for the 8? I leased my 8 so I am biding my time with research until the lease is up, as I received the free maintenance for the life of the warranty as compensation for the over-stated HP rating of the first 8's. Also have a question regarding which type of fuel everyone is using. I have been using 89 or 90 octane with a 10% ethanol mix, but have experienced "bogging down" of the acceleration after running the engine with the a/c on. I get no lights on the dash during and the only thing I got from the dealership was the possibility of carbon build-up related to my use of said fuel and no "premium". Any takers....sorry for the long post
