Rx8 colour ?

A friend of mine wants to get an 8 in white. I never really cared for white but apparently the 8 comes with 3 different whites.

2005---whitewater pearl
2006---snow flake white pearl
2007---crystal white pearl

Can someone explain the differences? To me, white is white but I'm sure there are diff. between them.

Which is the nicest????lol

Ok,,,now I'm really confused???

I checked the mazdausa site and it has white water pearl for 2006. On Mazda.ca it says snow flake pear for 2006. So do canadian cars get a different white for 06 or is it the same colour....WTF???

Why would they do that when all the other colours have the same name?

What about this new crystal white pearl?? Is it the same as well?

Just a guess, but maybe it has something to do with how it comes out in French.

I seem to remember for 2005 there was an option on the Whitewater pearl to add a blueish pearlescent effect on the clearcoat. Was that the difference between Whitewater and Snowflake then?

I'm curious to see the pearlescent effect on the 2007 crystal white

I noticed if you look at them at mazda's site in the dealer inventory section they called them snowflake but the 06 book called them whitewater, as did the 05 book. Don't know why or what the difference was. As far as I could tell, the only thing different was that they didn't name them consistently.
