rx8 door question
Hi guys, just got an RX8 a couple of days ago, been having fun with it. Can't wait to pass 600miles , so i can actually rough it up a bit.
Quick question for you guys... is it just me or does it seem like the doors are pretty high on this car and the side mirrors blocks a good chunk of viewing angle?
Also, been reading the manual says to check oil all the time... if I take the car in for an oil change regularly (every 3000 or 5000 miles) am i good? or will i have to keep adding oil before then?
Thanks in advance guys for the help!!!
This seems to be an awesome forum!!! Glad i found it.

oil change and regular check up should not replace one or the other. even after a oil change you might want to double change your oil when you get home-your mechanic might only gave you 3 quart instaead of 4 for any reasson, it might be enough for the senser but its still low. its always a good habit to check oil and all fluid regularly say at every two gas fill.add only as needed to the full marking.

I guess i'm just not used to it. Heh, never did it with any of my cars. The car that i traded in for the rx8 i don't even bring it in for an oil change until 15k miles. I plan on taking the car for an oilchange either at the mazda dealer or jiffy lube.
Oh another thing, i thing the car has an indicator that the headlights are on but none for the fog lights. Heh, I wish they would have put a fog light indicator instead rather than the headlight on indicator.
So any comments on the door/side mirrors?

Yeah, lame.
Uh, I do agree with your suggestion with it however. It's quite obvious when your headlights are on. It isn't however that your foglights are on. Good one. I seriously doubt that it can be changed though.
The engine injects a minute amount of oil into the combustion chambers for lubrication. This sacrificial loss of oil must be monitored a bit more often than your other cars that had conventional piston engines. It's a rotary engine that you bought & you need to get to know it & live with it, ok? Once you get to know these, they will grow on you very much. I hope so anyway. You will want to do what you can to keep it running in top shape when you do. The frequent oil check & top-up is a good thing for starters. Actually and anyway, it needs to be done, period. OK? Get to know the rotary engine.
