Hi folks...

I'm looking for RX8 sounds, I'm a sound designer for movies and TV and i'm looking for sound from the RX8 manly the engine sound, at different speed and revolution from inside and outside. I dont want the RX8 in the tv show to sound like a mustang.

So if you have any sound of your car that I can use, I'll be please.

Or if you know where I can find some or buy some just let me know it will help me.

In any cases I will probably record some of my own, I'm working for a post production sound studio in Montreal ( Canada ) so if any of you are near me and willing to do some sound shoot with me, it can be great.

There are lots of sound clips and stuff posted, but many of them are of modifyed cars, and done with sub-par audio equiptment.

 

There's engine sound and then there's exhaust sound. Both are fairly unique to the rotary. The "whirring" of the engine is one of the coolest sounds when you drive by someone or something at high rpm (with your window down).

i can try recording some in-car sounds and then some stock-exhaust-at-idle sounds.. i don't really have the space (or anyone to help) to record outdoor movement exhaust sounds.

but you probably can find someone in the canada section to come down and give you a proper recording...

 

Just record the sound of an electric motor

 

Monk, be sure to get the sound of the 8 starting. It always drives me crazy to hear tv shows and movies that just use the same starter motor sound for all cars. Toyotas and Lexus might all sound like one another but every manufacturer sounds different.
