relax man you gotta not take it so seriously, you have to realize that you don't have the best car out there. You can't fight a battle by bashing other people using words like craptakular and stuff. They just want to get a rise out of you. Check out rotarygods posts and use some hardened facts to help your cause. Personally i don't like lambo doors, they might be good for tight parking spot buts not my style.
The RX8 is a sports car buts it not built to be an all out sports car, the rx7 fd was built for that. You have to realize that while the rx8 is a great car it has a lot of faults too. A stock RX8 is an all around package, its fast but not the fastest, its got a stiff suspension but not the stiffest, its light weight but has 2 extra seats so its not the lightest. My roomate has an SRT4 that has close to 400 horses and handles almost as well as my car. While this is fun to drive, you can't have a conversation to another person in the car, and i actually bit my tongue because we went over a pot hole. So i would take my car any day of the week even though he'll beat me evertime in the straights.
The gas milage does suck but its not that far off from other cars in its class, i believe it was car and drive drove the G35 coop and experienced an overall gas milage of 16.7 and thats worse then i get in my 8 and i'm hitting 9,000 rpms more then a couple times a day. The 350Z has experienced many engine, trans, and diff failures. There was a new member to the forums who traded in his z and bought an 8 because of this. The one thing that made be buy the car was the fact that i could get a car with all the options, corvette quality handling, BMW quality on the inside with only 20,000 miles on it for under 20,000. The G35, Z, BMW M3 were all 10,000 more with the options and miles on it. While this may be due to the unreadability factor i didn't care. When you get as good as warranties and all the factory recalls its really a null factor to me. While you may have to have it in for service a bit more then usual it doesn't cost me anything because its covered and i get to indirectly test drive new cars (rentals).
One thing the RX8 does have a is a great feeling of belonging to a special group that most average price cars don't have. While many cars do have clubs i think that this club is a bit more exclusive.
Many people state that wetrying to hold onto something that is not worth developing. Look how much time and $ was put into the piston and engine and how many advancements have been made. From the otto's engine to the Bugatti veyron. Then compare that to the rotary, much less time and much less $ and were still advancing along nicely. The advancements made in the renensis compared to the 13B are extraordinary. Checkout rotarygods posts for some in depth descriptions.
I like how he said "the engine of the future" a slogan taken from back in the day. When actually it may be; the combustion chamber and the way the flame travels in a rotary makes it actually very suitable for hydrogen fuel, so it does have future benefits. Mazda has already made a gas/hydrogen rotary fuel car and is now leasing it to certain countries that want to put more development into hydrogen fill stations.
try some of these things and play with facts not emotion that what i find wins arguments, but i do like playdohs post its funny.

What are you talking about? I have a 2004 350Z with 26K miles that I track way too much. The car is still on the original drivetrain. Most failures came on either the early cars OR it came from stupid owners.
As far as weight between the two cars, you do know that a Z is roughly 3200lbs (pre 300hp model). While you might say the Z is still 160lbs more than the RX-8, but did you know the Z actually comes with a FULL SIZE spare and a 20 gallon gas tank. With that in mind, the true difference in weight should be around 100lbs. It isn't really a lot when you are talking about a 50hp diference and 100ft-lb of torque difference. I do love the high revving motor, but low revving torquey motors are your best friends in case you run into trouble at the track.
As far as handling, I do personally prefer the RX-8. The RX-8 can do everything that the Z can except the 8 has a much nicer ride. When I drive the Z, I have to trade in my kidney.
Here is what I think
Interior=RX-8
Exterior=Z
Powertrain=Z (another story if the 8 has 50 extra hp)
Suspension=8
Brakes=even except I know the 8 can last longer on the track. My car destory brake pads
Reliability=toss up
Resale=Z
Comfort=8
I did start racing on a FC RX-7, so the rotary power cars always have a special place in my car.
