RX8 on fire

I'd say that it is either A) the engine was recently replaced and the fuel line connector popped free or B) something aftermarket wired in the engine bay started it.
Possible that it's another issue, like someone spilling oil all over the engine that suddenly ignited, but the above two are the two primary hits for RX-8 engine fires. If it was middle of the car then it would either be aftermarket audio related or cat related.
I'd say that the smoke from the rear is just drifting there, as there is the transmission tunnel to the rear from the front, and smoke that gets pushed into there only has the rear as an exit point.
