There are allot of FANBOYS that talk down to anything other than the car they own which is pretty pathetic. I totally appreciate self opinion, but it's hard to take most of the comments here seriously......

25 hp mod and there goes your good gas mileage.

I thought most comments were positive and well wishing. I don't know what your complaining about. Maybe you have buyers remorse.

Wow, talk about comparing Apples to Oranges.

Two TOTALLY different cars. Sports car to a mid size family car, i dont see all the fuss. Its not like this guy is actually implying this thing rivals the 8 in any performance area. He simply made a decision to get a car that best suits his lifestyle at the moment. Great family car, good luck wit it!

Who cares. Meanwhile some guy in a TSX forum telling its members that he replaced the tsx with an RX-8 and he will get the
"Enjoy the mileage dude." ,
"enjoy that torqueless wonder.", <--- coming from Honda is funny.
"did you read the engine failure?"
"VTEC is better than rotory"
"You should've gotten an S2k. Keep in the family."

Have a light heart. It's all fun. Enjoy your car. You know you'll come back one day when you wake up in the middle of the night dreaming of driving at vmax down a canyon road at 9000rpm.

Congrats on the TSX. A friend of mine has one and it's a very good car. The stereo sounded pretty amazing for a factory stereo. Not like the BS Bose system we get.

To OP: Congrats on your purchase though. You gotta do what you gotta do when you need a family car, eh?

Acura's are nice cars. I don't understand why it's hard for some people to understand that a person can love more than one car at a time. I've had two Acura's in the past, the Integra LS Special Edition and CL type S. They were both smooth and fun-to-drive sporty coupes. Congratulations on your purchase.

Congrats - I just dumped a TSX to get my 8. TSX w/ AT =complete suckitude, though, and the "drive by wire" crap especially sucks when you roll up to a light and step on the gas without a full stop. There's a good 3-5 second hesitation. :BARF:

But it is great in snow....

Didn't you claim that Acura cut you that $6,000 check to "buy out the remaining 12 months of your RX-8 lease"? So how do you still end up still holding your RX-8 lease AND a TSX lease with this great deal? The whole concept makes no sense.

What's with all the bashing? It's not like RX8 is a Godsent. It uses mileage like a truck and has problems keeping up with a v6 accord which gets better gas mileage. Guy was probably tired of getting 16 mpgs while being beaten by a ricer civic.

Seriously though, I love RX8, but TSX is one nice little car. Great gas mileage, everything is pretty much standard, handles great for a fwd, etc... It also lacks torque like RX8, but whatever.

Read his post - He still HAS the RX-8 he was trying to get rid of plus now he has a second TSX lease.

This is an RX-8 forum.

I'm not necessarily a fanboi, but if you post here that "My new Belchfire 3000 is sooooo much better than the RX-8....", then you should expect some good-natured ribbing. Over the past couple of weeks, I have driven rental Fords (Fusion and V6 Mustang) and a Jeep Compass. Both of these cars were just fine, thanx. I think the overall quality of new cars gets better every year.

However, for myself - right now- I choose to drive an RX-8. That is why I joined an RX-8 community like this one. I 've had several performance and/or sports cars before (german, Japanese, English & 'Merican) and I hope that I will have more in the future. When it come time to change, I will go through the process of evaluating my needs and wants, balanced with price and other considerations, and then make a choice - just like you obviously have done. Unlike you, I won't be surprised if I post here and don't get a round of applause...

FWIW, enjoy your new car.

ps. the 'family' car is a stock, base model 2007 Impreza hatch. It is a fine car. I just don't rave about it, or crap on it, in this forum.

Nice practical car, probably would have gone with an Audi, Infiniti or BMW myself if I wanted a luxury family hauler, but enjoy.

Then again the 8 is my family hauler so go figure.

Acura cut me a check for $6K. I came to the realization that I should ride out the lease in the 8 as it would account for the same thing as returning the car now and paying the full value of the lease. I can live with the 8 as a weekend car for now, as I still love this increadible machine provided that it's not my daily driver. I am placing my car up for a lease takeover with a cash incentave. When and if someone want's to enjoy the ride for a year left is up in the air. There is no double dipping into a two car lease, but If I transfer the lease over early, it will be a positive deal in the end instead of a wash.
