Too funny. I let the wife drive the 8 to dinner last night. It was really wierd riding shotgun.
She's myabe 5'5" and we sat thru a few green lights due to stalling, etc. Good times.

No, i got them powdercoated here in Chattsworth. This place that does powdercoat for speaker companies and ****. They dont do too much personal work, mainly work from like Company orders. like 100's at a time and ****.

anyway, I went in I asked how much he would do them for... he took a look at it.
(note: I had been quoted by 2 or 3 other places at $100 a wheel, which i thought wasnt a bad price at the time)

the guy looks at them and says.....
"$50 a wheel"

i was like ".................really?"
lol

I got High gloss Black on it, so it matches the paint.
looks awsome.

He was also offering Metalic Black. Wich has 2 coats and a clear coat for $95 a wheel"
also not a bad deal.

I got my lug-nuts coated also, and the coat is so thick that they would screw back into the car... haha, i had to shave off some of the inner coat to get them to screw in.

then the Key lock wouldnt grab on the lug nut cuz it was thick also.

but overall, an awsome job.

I was planning on teaching my wife a manual becasue I'm getting tired of moving it and letting it sit for 5 minutes in the driveway to warm up (first time I've had to use the key on a car in 8 years). She's 4'10" so it might not be an option anyway.

When I read the title of the thread I thought it was going to be on head room again. I don't know how you 6 footers do it, I'm 5'8" and can't wear a baseball cap unless I move the seat back (granted its got the sunroof which cuts into headroom).

 

yeah, im about 5'6", i think the car is a perfect height for me. :D

but yeah, when my buddy's try and get in the car with me, they look like a giant.

i dont think tall people can ride in this car.

one of my buddies (which drives a GTO) is 6'7"
He can bearly fit in his own car let alone an rx8.

Even with the chair all the way back, his knees are sticking up almost to his chin, lol

Romeo, I'm barely 5 ft tall (4'11 3/4 without my shoes on) and I have no problem driving the car...all the way forward it's too close. She needs to put the seat down as low as it goes as well as as far back as it goes.
