Where I live, people have successfully sued for falling over on the sidewalk (pavers slightly misaligned due to tree roots pushing them up), and for falling on a piece of lettuce in a supermarket.

I know we Aussies are relative newcomers to the American culture of "sue first, ask questions later", but we are trying our hardest to catch up in the blame game.

 

Based on the title of this thread and Elvis' posts I'm going to throw the Troll flag.

I think someone is intentionally trying to smear the car. What kind of thread title is "rx8 huge problem??" They're hoping that someone else searching this forum will see this and be scared off of buying the car. Elvis don't go around suggesting this kind of thing without some kind of data to back it up such as a report from the dealer, reputable mechanic or TSB.

I move to delete this thread unless there is some data to substantiate this claim...

Sounds like you had a loose nut behind the wheel. I think Mazda has a TSB for that.

 

Haa haa haa that's a funny one! "driving down my street to get to my house and my clutch started to slip. About 3 min later my car was on the side of the road, and my clutch was burned out of my car.." Elvis.. ops sorry ellvis certainly has a strange phrasing w/words...I've never seen a clutch laying on the gound burned right outta a car!

Guys be serious for once and help the poor kid...the faulty part in the car was definitely the PU$$Y Magnet that went bad because any girl seeing that type of driving definitely isn't sticking around.
