Judging from a lot of comments about the soot on our tailpipes, I'd say NOT.

actually it is. As a matter of fact that is the reason there is 9 horsepower less. THere were some posts on here that the car had NO EMISSIONS - at a state test in TN and another state somewhere else.

Mazda says LEV-II or Stage 4 for Europe

NO WAY it is not an LEV as most rotary engine are not.

I am going to change the exhaust manifold and muffler to make it even worse heheh :D

no, really it is. the catalytic converter and ECU tuning really make all the difference.

i was told my car is classified as ULEV (Ultra low emmision vehicle) is that even more efficient than LEV or are they the same?
