RX8 Modifications Planner Web Application

RX8 Modifications Planner Web Application
Introduction
Over the past few days, I have been working with some members of the SARX team to bring a web application to the masses to help newbies, novices, and veterans alike. The application will help members create a build, or recreate their own build, and save it so that they can share with others.
What is it?
The application will serve a few purposes:
- Allow users to build their current list of modifications and assess the current value of the modifications that they have installed.
- Allow users who like the look/sound/feel of another member's car, see their list of modifications and the estimated price to implement
- Allow users to create 'special' builds for our forum's novices (for example a 'reliability' build that has only mods that will help reliability, or a 'STX' build that will help users create an STX build, etc)
Where is it?
Normalexception.net - RX8 Modifications Planner
Is it done?
Not completely. The idea here is to hopefully further enhance the application to analyse the build, and make recommendations and checks. For example, if the user has selected a set of springs without shocks, it can let them know that selecting springs with oem shocks could lead to increased damper wear.
Can I submit my own build to be hosted?
Of course! I actually welcome that! I already have my build up there for those who want to click and see what is installed on my car, and the prices of each item. Feel free to make your own mod list and shoot it over to me and I will gladly host.
One of my mods isn't listed, what do I do?
Mention it here and I will try and get it added asap!
Feedback?
Feedback is more than welcomed. If you like it, hate it, think it is pointless, think it is genius, etc, let me know, it will only help me improve the app.
Cost?
Completely free, hosted on my own website, no ads, nothing.
Any vendors involved?
No! Take note that all prices you see are estimates based on web searches. They do not reflect any advertisement or sale by any vendor.
Why did you not include an XYZ list
Some groups of items are far to generic to successfully add which is why they aren't currently there. Things like Wheels, Tires, etc. I have only added the more RX8 specific items at the moment. The others will come in time since they will require a lot more work!

Very nice. This looks mighty useful and even well-implemented - I was honestly expecting a bunch of page reloads bouncing between PHP files or GET parameters. Is this info pulled from an SQL DB or entered in as HTML?
Edit:
I hereby request addition of the BHR Midpipe w/ Cat and the ability to override the pre-entered price so the user can adjust the price for themselves if they run into a situation where the mod they want isn't listed, has changed in price, etc. Incidentally, if you'd like, I can contribute; I'm a C# developer by trade, but I know my way around the DOM.

How do I save my build?
edit .. add EBC dimpled and slotted rotors, Cobolt Friction brake pads.
How about for custom turbo kits you add the ability to pick a specific turbo?
EBC?
WG?

OK, here's my wish list -- there was a lot I couldn't add and once I saw my $9,000 bill with a fraction of my actual mods installed I decided to quit:
Gauges
Innovate LC1
Autometer Oil Pressure / Temp / Boost / Fuel Pressure
RB ashtray gauge pod
Blockhead's dual pod vent
Body
Aero kit (front, flares, etc)
GrilleGuy oil cooler + air dam screens
Suspension
Powertrix Coilovers
EMS
MazdaEdit Personal / Pro
Adaptronic Select
FI
BNR GReddy Upgrade (wheel + water + wastegate bracket)
Brakes
Akebono Ceramic Pads
Wheels
MB Battles
Tires
Continental DW / DWS
Misc
JDM Retractable Nav Tray
Clear Corners
Grounding Kit
Rear Fog Light (Lebren)
GROM Car2PC
GROM IPD3
eBay Catch Can
I'm sure I can come up with more... this was just the stuff that jumped out at me. Do you need prices for this stuff too? Seems there's got to be a better way for us to add "adhoc" items.

Great little app, noticed some missing but others have called them out,,,
The bodykit and Wheels section will take a lot of work to implement.
For seats I would include the R3 seats, and some of the seats that people have currently are from Recaro, Bride and Status, cant recall specific models yet but Ill come back later and edit this pot,,,
Great Job!

Small bug:
The total is not accurately totaled when switching between parts of the same type.
For example, selecting "BHR Mounts" and then "OEM w/ Poly Fill" will cause the total to be: $485 ($60 + $425)

This is a cool.
May I suggest a couple other adds?
Cat-back: Exotic speed RII
Mid pipe: Exotic speed
Header: Exotic speed
Springs: Megan
Intake: Review Duct (w) k&n drop in panel filter
Also along with the zex nitrous....
Supporting install: BHR T.B. spacer
Aermotive fuel line adapter
Shot: 55 HP , 65 HP, 75 HP
Yes I know the 75 is a death shot.
Thanks
