rx8 owner finally

ok well i picked up my rx8 in january but finally got around to getting some pics taken of it on my computer...... i absolutely love this car!!! first car was a 96 saturn coupe, fully hooked up. had 17's on it, lowered, intake, exhaust, and a bodykit molded from a civic on it. then upgraded to a 4runner for a year and now my brand new baby!!! still tryin to decide if i'm gonna do anything to this yet or not, but i might take it easy considering i got it for 25K and that took a big chunk of money out. its a blue 05 MT fully loaded. one question though, i was trying to find the post with the VINs you could look up to see if the car was one of the ones from the hurricane floods but couldn't find it, any help!?! only reason i'm worried is b/c i bought the car brand new and it had 900 miles on it. dealer didn't classify it as a demo but it had that many miles on it and they gave me the whole 5 year warranty starting at 900 miles so now i can go 48,900 miles for the entire warranty..... hope to hear from you guys

If you paid $25k for it, it better not be a hurricane damaged car. Not to mention having 900 miles on it means it is passed it's break-in period and you obviously have no idea what has been done to it during that time. I hope you enjoy your purchase, and hope you dont end up having any serious problems with it.

umm... PICTURES?

if u look at Ford's employee buying program, you'll notice that any car with over 200 miles on it falls into a sort of a gray area- meaning, the manufacturer no longer considers it new, per say. so, they don't allow u to buy it as new. it's probably a new car that sat in the showroom a long time and then got driven around a lot by dealership execs.

u should still try to find out tho...

You have a good warranty so enjoy the car and don't look back. If you need anything to worry about just watch that gas gauge go down;-)

I know that Ford owns Mazda or visa versa or whatever, but does that necessarily mean that Ford's policies apply to Mazda too? IMO, not always... but you may know more on that topic than me.

Congrats on your purchase. You have a warranty so I wouldn't worry about what's been done to it to date. Take care of it the right way and you shouldn't have any problems.
