To me, the rear of the Rx-8 kinda echoes the original Rx-7, they both have the sloping c-pillar, the wrap-around rear glass, but I'll take the 8's taillights over the Rx-7's any day -- the 8's are round, which is what rotary taillights should be ;o)

The front end of the 8 reminds me more of the FD, just done much more angularly, and with the grill from the Rx-3. Reminds me of the FD in that the center of the hood is lower (or appears to be lower) than the fenders, giving the car a kinda leering, sneering look.

At any rate, the 8 is unmistakably an Rx, it doesn't try to copy any other car, it just shows its Rotary tradition and lineage every chance it gets.

As for the long hood - short tail thing, well, that's a classic sportscar design cue. Those proportions are those of a sports car. It works even better in a 2-seater, where you can put the occupant's rumps right over the rear axle.

 

Hey everybody, what happened to my car? I dropped off my 05 black GT at the dealership, and when I picked it up today, it drives all funky!

It's still the same 05 black GT that I drove in, just seems the handling and power is off a bit. Maybe the dealership forgot to put a part back on? Pleas look at the photo and compare maybe they stole my OEM Dunlops please help.l
