RX8 Thermos and Travel Mug

RX8 Thermos and Travel Mug
Did anyone purchase (from the dealer) an "official" RX-8 thermos and travel mug when you got your car? Saw one on E-Bay and I was just wondering if this is an official Mazda licensed product and how much to pay. Also wanted to make sure the travel mug fits on the car's cupholders. Thanks for any input.

Thanks. My better half insists on drinking coffee during the morning commute and at least this mug looks good and fits the cupholder. The red will work with her (mine too) Titanium Gray.

yes i jusr recently got the die cast model also. i think that is the last of the gifts not that i would mind more
for pidge a quick recap of thousands of posts concerning why some got gifts and some did not. in order to be considered a "pre-order customer" and get the gifts your dealer had to put your order in a certain particular way in the ordering system. many dealers unfortunatly did not put the orders in correctly, either thru incompetence or mistake. some would blame mazda for not explaining it but to me it boils down to the sales department not making sure they understood. they just waited for someone to tell them what to do. some did it the wrong way so they would get more cars . in any case what they did was put in their stock order and then add your name to a car. that was the wrong way. they should have put their pre-orders in individually, making sure to include complete adresses, email and phone as thecars were ordered and their stock order seperatly. even though in many cases they were delayed the actual "pre-order" customers also received email updates when their cars went into production, when it went on a boat, when it hit port and when it was delivered to the dealer. did you get any of those emails pidge?

Zoom is right. The one and only way to tell if your dealer put your pre order in correctly was if you received update e-mails as your 8 was built/shipped/trucked. I even received an e-mail telling me my VIN before I got the started production update! This "pre-order" status is what made Mazda ship the goodies. BTW don't forget about the RX-8 book for more future E-bay fodder.

I never received emails on my car's progress. In fact, I put a deposit on one in July that was already on their list to be coming in September. But I still got every one of the pre-order gifts. I still can't figure it out.
