Rx8 vs. TT
I will never park next to an Audi TT ever again with my 8.
Months ago at work, my coworker and I went out to lunch in her TT. She parked on my passenger side when we returned to work. Fast forward to the end of the day and she calls me to let me know she dinged my door. Right on the crease. She paid for the paintless dent removal repair.
Today at lunch I park to the right of a TT convertible. After my coworker and I are done eating, we run to the car and go to Target across the street. I walk back to the car and--you guessed it. Ding right on the crease. The SUV that I parked next to at Target never moved the whole time I was there so that couldn't have been it.
Damn Audi TT's.
Rant over.

Never been a huge fan of the TT, the new ones are alright but idk, they remind me of the crossfire!!! Just a "look at me, I had 50K to **** away so I bought a p-nis extension Audi TT!!!" heh, my opinion i guess...

What I can never understand is when I park well away from anyone in a mall parking lot (which I try to keep a rare occurrence) and when I come out there's a small group of cars around it. Must be a gravitational thing due to the greater mass of the black cherry mica paint.
btw: I considered a TT prior to buying my '8 and am glad I went the way I did.

Let's just refer to this link and let yet another RX8 vs. thread die.
The 8 here obviously had a green engine, but I think it captured strengths and weaknesses. The new TT is finally a decent car, if you don't mind FWD.

I was in one of the original groups when the car crew thing was getting big around here in 2000. Back then my boys used to work at the Jewel close by; one had a civic hatch and another had a celica. On Fridays or Satuturdays we'd meet up in the Jewel parking lot around the time they got off; his brother-in-law in a civic sedan, his wife in a GSR sedan, and another friend in a prelude. I had an MR2 turbo. All of our cars were lightly modded. We called ourselves "DEEPSPEED".
More people that we didn't know started showing up each time and the cops finally intervened, I'm assuming due to the burnouts and fartcans from the strangers. Another crew let us know that the manager at Taco Bell didn't mind if we met up there, I guess as sort-of an alternative to classic car night at the McDonald's next door. Word got around Lake County fast. I remember this one guy with a truck even had a scanner! But more burnouts and rowdiness ensued from the trolling ricers, the Taco Bell nights started diminishing, and by summer 2002 it wasn't cool anymore to show up at Taco Bell. The only time i'd stop by was if my friend Yogi was there and I was coming from the carwash. Smaller impromptu meets would pop up at Target or Blockbuster.
The climax of the car crews was this thing called the ACA, or Automotive Club Alliance, where the well-known crews came together in Schaumburg to discuss import-related events. ("PhlypSide" was one of the main organizers and now manages notfwd.com and jgtca.com.) But almost as soon as it started, most members' priorities were shifting and it fell apart.
The parking lot meets aren't like they used to be. To be honest with you, i'll probably stop by the first warm Friday of next year to see if Yogi is still there.
Ahh, memories

When I come back an SUV and mini van is next to me and there are plenty of other parking spaces much closser.
It's pretty funny, you see a parking lot full of cars and then an open space for an 1/16 of a mile.
Three cars are parked two of them surrounding the RX8.
