I'm in the Bronx and have a 04 V red 8, are you talking about Bronx Honda Mazda with its service center on Zerega Ave?

I don't have any issues with my baby. Just a lot of good times, compliments and pure bliss. This is the best car I have ever drove.

I'm never satisfied with any car I buy because i always find something better the year after I buy.
I love this car but I don't know how long I'm gonna keep it, and I don't know what the reliability is gonna be like when my warranty is up. Somewhat Satisfied. Def best vehicle I've owned so far. The Mazdaspeed3 looks like it might be my next purchase.

I have been very satisfied with the car and with the service and warranty repairs.
It is a fabulous no problem car for me!
Just change the oil and add fuel. (add a little oil now and then)
Had a rattle in the steering wheel one time. Turned out to be in the Airbag.
Dealer replaced it while I was waiting.
What more could you ask for.
2 Thumbs up.

Black on black

for what's it worth... I've owned my 8 for nearly 18 months (23000 miles). The best car I've ever owned.

Positives:
flipping blast to drive
awesome handling
silky smooth acceleration
great comfort
fun to drive
chick's did it
awesome tranny/shifter
nice ergos, seats and buttons
pretty decent stock stereo
amazing dealer service (Anderson BMW/VW/Mazda in Crystal Lake, IL)
nice and no bullshit sales person

Negatives:
little vibrations in cockpit (dash and rear window)
console cover has broken 3 times
squeeky brakes
in less than 10 degrees F, the heat cannot keep up and keep cockpit warm
fan is way too loud at 2-3-4 position
navigation system dvd update way too expensive
nav system not the most intuitive to operate
loose driver's seat that required 3 trips to dealer
might as well wear heelys in snow
man, those wheels are hard to keep clean from brake dust

Non-issues:
no flooding problems
20 mpg consistently at all speeds, conditions (260-275 per tank)
doesn't seem use oil any more/less than traditional engines (1 qt/2500 miles)

Highly Satisfied,,, So Far

Only 5 months / 3500 miles. Time will tell. Last car was MX-5. Dealer service so-so, I don't trust 'em. Sure, I hope MPG will improve as car breaks in. But there are few pleasures like driving the RX-8. GF loves it as does everybody, but bottom line is I love it and don't care what anyone else thinks.

I bought my black 8 last week, and have enjoyed just about every moment of ownership. Driving this car is more fun than any other vehicle I've ever experienced. I love the styling - it really looks like it could be much more expensive than it is. People constantly complement it and/or stare (maybe because there aren't too many in my area). The driving position is incredibly comfortable. When you drive the 8, the shape of the hood makes it seem like there is a large amount of power under the hood...somewhat in the same way the corvette does, just not to that extent

However no car is without its issues. So far I haven't been too happy with the fuel economy, but it's been cold outside and I've been very careful about letting the car warm up. The trunk has also been a bit of a puzzle. After enabling the remote trunk release and pressing the button, the trunk popped up just a little and wouldn't lift. Finally it opened all the way when I turned the key on the trunk. Also, the spare tire kit in the trunk takes up a LOT of room in the already small trunk. I'm thinking of taking it out. I have Mazda's best warranty where they'll tow the car, and I'll just throw some fix-a-flat in the trunk.

All in all it's a great car

I am definitely highly satisfied, thus far, w/ my RX8 purchase. First, I found exactly the car I wanted, i.e. int/ext color and features at a good price. The car drives like a dream, plenty power / accel. ( I don't intend on taking it to the track - not why I purchased it), and handling is simply put superb. It's awakened in me the exhiliration of driving. I've not gotten a good bead on city mpg, but getting ~23 mpg highway. Love the sound, feel, looks, & exhiliration. One knock is the seat heater button positioning - keep inadvertently turning them on. I think I'll pay this car off & keep it a while.

As satified as one can be. But I think I'm losing my mind. She talks to me. She makes me buy her things. The other day I was eating lunch when, I heard this faint: Buy me chrome valve caps. Sure enough, it was her. Then it was: I need clear corners! I have since come to the realization that I work for her. Nothing is too good for her and she must remain spotlessly clean.
So, she drinks gas like a Nascar fan drinks Budweiser. I dont care. So her torque is less impressive than some of the bigger girls, Eff em. She is an elegant piece of machinery that is nothing like anything else out there. A swan on a pond of ducks.
I love her, man.

besides gas, i hate the TPMS, its the only thing i've had to continue to hassle with. But i guess that's my fault for getting rims.

I can't wait! I pick up my red '06 8 tonight.... They had to bring it up to Austin from San Antonio, put on my fender strakes and install tape player for my iPod. I’ve just gots to have my iPod! I am damned excited! I do about 100 miles per day all highway driving and I am stoked to get on the road. Can you tell that I appear to be moderately excited?

I am interested though in the shift patterns of those people who are getting low mileage like 13 miles per gallon when driving in the city. Are you shifting at 8k-9kRPMs on average or what? I know from the experience of my 9 test drive sessions that the car seemed to be naturally begging me not to shift until about 8-9k RPMs. This would obviously consume more fuel but if you dialed it back a bit then maybe you would see some improvement. I know that last sentence was probably blasphemy, right?!

Damn this slow assed morning, I feel like a fat kid in a candy shop just waiting for his parent to show up so he can buy sweets! Fat kid in candy shop… ummm… memories.

Should have looked at this post earlier...But I am super satisfied w/ my 8. I Love driving it, the perfromance it has, and the looks that it gets from everyone (especially babes being a 21 year-old). Lve this car except for ,of course, the gas mileage.

I trashed my first 8 (2004) after about 6 months. I loved it so much I bought another just like it. After a year of driving and 22K miles later. I would not have another car unless it was a Phantom Blue 8. Love it, love it, love it!

Extremely Satisfied

Bought my 2004 used with 13K miles. 5 weeks and 1500 miles later, no problems, no unmet expectations. Mileage is approx 15 in town, 22-25 on highway. Autocrossed once, will autocross again on the 30th. Fighter-jet handling, fun sounds, nimble spirit.

Last cars I connected with as completely on a bio-mechanical-emotional basis were the Fiat X1/9s I used to race.

Okay after a full weekend in which I put 258miles on my brand new '06 red RX-8 (GT, 6sp MT, premium sound, leather, sun roof, basicly the works!) I can say I am "damned satisified!" Why is that not and option in this poll is my only complaint. This is the nicest freak'n car I have every owned, gas millage be damned. Argh, what a sweet ride!!!!!!

Everything about this care is nice performance, speed, handling, comfort. This is the first car I have owned where I did not get a little bored and start playing with the gadgets already. I picked up on Tuesday and still have not stopped long enough to figure out the how to set the clock, built-in garage door openers, in dash 6 disc cd, and the tons of other crap (term used in awe and admiration only) this thing is loaded with cool crap. The only problem is that everytime I am in it all I want to do is drive. No desire yet to play with the ****. (sigh) Well maybe next month. ZOOM ZOOM is very accurate!!!!
