Just tooling around down Rotunda Dr. here in Dearborn.. headed to the test track across the street from my building..

Can't wait to get myself into one of them!

 

Did you notice anything special about it? Can you tell if there have been any changes between it and what we see in all the pictures? Was it the yellow one we see from all the auto shows or a different one?

Just curious and starved for information.

would you guys that live in michigan and cali near places where they are testing the rx8 please please please start carrying a digital camera with you so when you see the car you can share the pics with us. that way we can live vicariously thru you!

 

From all the pics I have seen of it, it was unchanges from the 15 secs I saw of it.. the fron and rear 1/4 were blacked out along with the headlights being covered by something blue. The 8 itself was red and looked sweet as hell.

As for carrying a digi cam with me down there.. I should I have seen like 4 or 5 prototypes on the road in the past week including the RX-8, Mondeo, Some new Lincoln cross trainer that no one knows about yet, 04 or 05 Windstar, and something that was completely covered besides the windows and tires.. Only thing that scares me about the digi cam.. if I get caught im in some deep sheit as I work for the company and my car isn't too hard to spot now!!:o

 

These test mules are heavily disguised and rightly so. It's not close enough to launch date to let them shine just yet. Remember they arent hiding them from us, just the competition who could pick up last-minute styling cues for their own contender.

 

I wish they'd test it on the streets of Manhattan. Then I'd sure know whether to buy it or not!!!
