Screwed by stealership service dept again!
Well in a previous thread I posted about the TPMS working as advertised. and needing my tire repaired under the dealers road hazzard warranty. Well I take it in and after waiting an hour they give me the car back stating that they cannot get the tire off the rim! They said the bead was too tight and physicaly would not come off the wheel.
WTF!
Here we have another dealer that cannot service the cars that they are selling. They told me that I could take it to a tire store to get the work done and they would reimburse me. They have me doing all the leg work.
I'm thinking here is a dealer that can't even properly service the car they are selling. I know for a fact that they didn't follow the service bulletin as they never removed the sensor form the wheel prior to trying to remove the tire ffrom the wheel.
What else will they come up with? I had my last car repurchased under the Virgnia lemon law because of dealership service dept ineptitude like this.
I think I'll buy a bike!

I would take it back and have them buy an new rim and tire and put it on or cut the tire off and put a new one on. If it is too tight it is a factory defect and should be replaced.I would also call Mazda and report the Dealer. Sounds like he has a cheap tire changer that will not handle 18" tires.

I had my tire patched at Pep Boys, and they had a helluva time getting it off the rim. They were successful, however, and the patch worked fine, too!
If Pep Boys can do it, this doesn't say much about your service dept... and tell them 2000 forum members said so :D

Well I took it to the Kramer tire store down the street from the dealer and they took care of most ricky-tik. $24.95 out the door, now to get reimbursed from the dealership.
