Seafoam!!!

Doing it the way I just described, you don't disconnect anything (other than removing the spark plugs).
If you put a 1" socket on a 14" breaker bar, you can easily turn the motor over by hand.

so i just recently got new sparkplugs...thinking of adding seafoam to my gas tank to hopefully clean the injectors etc. (60k miles on my rx8)
is putting in this stuff gonna destroy my new spark plugs or am i safe in that department?

Got this figured out
I have no idea how MM did this with one hand with out jacking up the car, hats off. The ESS connector is the most difficult part of this, followed by removing the caps on the intake nipples. I ended up jacking up the car sliding under to where I cold see the ESS connector and could get two hands on it . The end result is well worth it. I let it sit over night, smoked up the neighborhood in the morning
I'm running the other half of the can in the gas tank now.
Idle is smoother, and to my surprise the engine winds up effortlessly, I didn't think I had any issues in this area until after you do this and feel the difference.
For reference I'm at 110km's and I was starting to notice a small stumble at idle. I also did this through the lower intake method.

I def want to do it soon too but imight b stuck with only putting it in the gas because i live in an apartment complex and they prob will not like the white smoke if i do it through the intake manifold nipples....

I did mine in the gas tank as a quick clean up (plus my retired labors would probably be freaked out by the smoke) before a track day last month, car runs great, but the gas mileage has dropped from ~20mpg city/25mpg hwy to 15-18 city/~22 hwy for easy driving. The only thing I can think of is maybe the injectors were dirty and I was using less fuel, now that they're clean, it running very rich again. It has been few tanks since I did it and the mileage has not improved.
