Selling Rx8 Gt for exige
#2
The scalpel of cars. The daily routine of crawling in and out, the harsh ride, and limited storage might get old as a daily driver. But there are few cars better for a twisty back-road or racetrack. My neighbor just bought an Evora and still owes me a ride, but what a beautiful car.

well i can keep both the rx8 and buy a exige also but I dont want 3 cars it is too much work one sport car and one regular driving car is enough. I am not trading rx8 for a exige if that was your thoughts.

Hopefully you don't end up missing that cash. My last sports car was a 2003 Porsche 911. I loved the 911, it was my fourth 996 generation 911 and all have been fantastic cars. But you know what? I don't feel like I'm giving up anything with the RX8. It might not have the sex appeal and it isn't as fast in a straight line, but it puts just as big of a smile on my face and it's actually easier to live with on a daily basis. Best of all, my 2005 RX8 with 22k on it was less than half what I sold the 911 for.

i had a exige S (supercharged) for a weekend, and my r3 is the only car that i have been in or driven that can handle anywhere near it, but dont get me wrong the exige is better, but lots mor money, seats can kill your spine after long ride 1-2+ and hard excelerations hurt spine too,
but for some reason that never bothered me the whole time, biggest issue for me was getting in and out althought not horrible just a choir, im 6'2 190 lbs btw.
visibility is crap on the road, but on track no biggie, if you want for a weekend car and tracking etc get it it wont let you down, but as a DD i would avoid

short wheel base + engine in the middle. you gonna have such fun doing trail braking into a corner.
I remember there was this cocky guy at autocross showed up in a spotless yellow Elise and spun out hit a cone sideways at the FIRST corner. pretty big black mark on the side of his car.

I know a few people with elises. The one time one of them tried to use it as a DD, the hot/cold cycles cracked the radiator. They love them, but somethings always in need of repair and it's such an amalgamation of parts finding spares is a bit of a pita.
Oh, apparently the shift *** falls off so you might want to buy a non-stock one

Keep thinking that No matter what size you are, they're not comfortable cars; they're great track toys.

I actually considered (briefly) a Europa a long time ago. I remember getting in was something like limbo on down mon, stick a leg out and...
I liked the one review of the Evora where he said it was the first Lotus where he could get out without ending up sprawled across the parking lot with his foot stuck through the steering wheel.
