Piling on here - my shift **** is also worn (left side - 2600+ miles). The finish doesn't seem to be applied very well (anodized properly). Oh well...didn't really care for the shape anyway.

Fo shizzle my bizzle. Chill out, dude. I wasn't reading through correcting grammar and spelling. "Wornned out" isn't slang...it's just freakin' wrong. Sorry if I offended you.

The silver part was loose on mine. Spun about 1/2" in both directions. I had it replaced under warranty. Took almost a month for it to come in though........*shrug*

...I have silky-smooth hand surfaces, and therefore my shifter does not get scuffed or marked in any manner. You all should learn to use lotion more often. :D

So I took my car in today to have my cupholder cover replaced and I told them my shift know was beginning to flake. They had one in stock and gave it to me. I'm not sure if they were supposed to cover in under warranty so it's worth a shot to ask. Worked for me.

Spelling

Wow! I didn't know the word "worn" had so many different spellings. I've counted at least 5 in this thread.

Ya' learn something new every day on this forum. :D

I just got mine replaced, it is under warranty, mine faded in the right side of the silver rotary part where my hand grabs it.

I got one replaced under warranty at 7k. Now I have 20k and its wearing out again. I specifically buff it from time to time, and I hold the shaft rather than the **** now. Apparently that technique is only worth an extra 6k. The **** is a POS, but I'm going to make them keep replacing it until they figure that out. Its unacceptable.

I used to wear a ring on my right hand. After I bought the 8 I noticed that it was going to be rubbing on the shift ***, so I took it off.

I think I'm going to get me one of those ***** from Team Voodoo, they look just a bit more resistant to scratching and wear.
