Shifter Vibration

Video of the Shifter
I thought a video might help. RIGHT CLICK / SAVE AS Will need Quicktime.
First 45 seconds is at idle, then I take it up to 3,000 RPM. The ticking sound during the 1st 20 seconds was from the mini tripod. As of three weeks ago my motor mounts are fine. I never found this to be a problem, in fact I think for a sports car it adds character.

i missed this my long l0st C&D friend ! congrats on the purchase!!
On the warranty issue, keep in mind our cars powertrain warranties were extended to 5 years. The shifter vibration is normal since the shifter is mounted directly on the tranny rather then mounted on the chassis and connected by levers/cables... in fact you can pull the shifter out and fill your tranny fluid up through the hole.
Also remember with having a rotary - keep an eye on the oil level since its injected by design and avoid shutting the car off before the engine warms up to prevent flooding... and remember to redline it often

Thanks for the welcome into the family, guys. r0tor, glad to see you're here. Even more glad to see that you still have the Rex.
Below are some pics that I took late last night. I'll try to take better pics later.
There was only 8520 miles on the clock when I picked her up:

On a front wheel drive car the trans is to the left / right of the engine. The shifter connects to the trans by means of a cable or linkage. Vibrations are less because the shifter is not directly connected to the trans.
