Shinka??

I was told by the dealer that this is a 2007 shinka model. I thought they didnt make any after 2006.

that kinda looks like stormy blue mica. which isnt shinka afaik.

the car should say "shinka" on the b pillar. but it does have a white leather interior.

uh.. im gonna go with, its a funkified shinka.

Shinka wasn't made after 2006. That's also not a Shinka color, either.....that's the Stormy blue mica. Still, Shinka is just a badging / cool color combination. Stormy blue is one of the best colors IMO, so it shouldn't make a big difference if it's not the "shinka" edition.

They'll try and charge more for the "Shinka," even though it's not. Tell them Shinkas weren't made after 2006 and the thing about the color and see what happens.

"Shinka" has bigger rear shocks (14), Reinforced body frame (some parts), and Urtherne filled Front Cross member.

Shinka also has the piano black center console (between the seats). that one has silver, so definately not a shinka

06 Shinkas are easy to spot just look inside. If they have tan interior with Alcantara seat bottom and back they are Shinkas. If they are any color other than White, black, gray or Copper red they are not shinka's. (05 shinka was black cherry with all tan interior)

Just look inthe photo's section for the copper red rx8's and you'll see interior pics.

driven a shinka and from personal experience, I don't notice a difference whatsoever between the shinka and a regular 8. I'm sure these parts are there, but they certainly are not noticeable IMO.

Performance differences in a shinka are minimal, it's mostly additional options and appearance related.
