shinka leather package

The leather in the shinka package does look very nice, at least I like how it looks. Had gone out and kicked the tires on a eclipse this weekend (save the flames if you would be so kind) and checked out their terra cotta leather package (same idea, somewhat as the seats in the rx-8 but mitsubishi puts the leather insert in the center of the seat (where the frabic is in the center on rx8 instead of the leather on the trim areas).

I can see how frabic might be better for those of us living in florida but would get dirty more so then leather in the center I would think.

Guess one is not better over the other (while one is in the rx-8, true) just an interesting difference.

Don't know, might settle for trading in the goldwing on a new r1200rt instead of getting a sports card as a 2nd vechile. Hell I still only have a one car garage at the moment.

Both the eclipse in orange (like the orange terra cotta package) with 1.9% for 48 months for left over 2006 models and a left over rx-8 the dealer has on his lot with sport package are of interest. And yes I know, don't look at an rx-8 if the mpg matters....

Then again I will only be out of pocket about five grand moving over to the bmw motorcycle while twenty grand getting the sports car.

Saving 15 grand and getting a new motorcycle that you want? Man, I *love* my 8, but that's a no-brainer. Keep the rubber side down on your new bmw!

I have a Wing and you would be happier with the 8 as it handles like a motorcycle and zooms like one.

On the other hand you will be disapointed and miss your motorcycle.

I will never go motorcyle less again.

For what it's worth, I was a rabid K1200GT rider until selling my bike in March for 'family harmony' reasons. I bought the 8 about a month ago and can't help but feel the unintentional resemblance. The 8 comes as close as possible to being a 'flying brick'. RPM shifting range/power band, steering, stock suspension and overall handling make me not miss the bike (or 7-series) much at all. I doubt any other comparably priced car could achieve this result.

i was at the dealership looking at the new shinkas and they are very nice but 1 thing i hate about them this year is that there is 4 colors they should have just made this years shinka copper red like last year there was only black cherry it makes it so much more special.

they have black, gray, copper red, and white shinkas for 2006 in case someone didnt know and it just makes them look like every other 8 on the road. not to say i dont love my 8 because i absolutely do but the shinka should be something different something special
