Shinka!!! My new Baby!!!

I have actually been looking for a used Sport (not even, I was getting the truck's radio repaired to increase its resale on the street) and decided to stop by the dealership to look at the cars.

I ended up getting full KBB for my trade and a beautifull Whitewater Pearl Shinka for 29,000 ($35k MSRP)

I finally have have my RX-8!!!!!!!
(and the color i wanted and evrything, I am SOOO Happy !!!)

My wife is awesome for letting me do this kind of crazyness!

white does have a shinka package. white, black, and gray all have a shinka option. for 2006 anyway. if you do have an 06, that's a pretty good deal.

It is not a Shinka based on the photo, as it does NOT have the 06 Shinka's white leather in it. However, if it is a GT package, it is still a very good deal.

Well she told me she was a natural blonde...
.and wasn't lying

Although I'll have to research the reinforced (filled) crossmember issue.

Welcome from another Shinka owner....
The name "Shinka" comes from Japanese meaning "evolution" or "transformation."
Other differences that haven't been mentioned:
*Polished Wheels and Brake Calipers
*Polished Head/Tail Light bezels
*Chrome A/C Controls
*Suspension Upgrades
*Piano Black Interior Upgrades

What suspension upgrades do the shinkas have over normal 6spds? Also I thought poished brake calipers were for all 06's.

It's all on Mazda's website, Shinka package is a limited edition package instead of trim for 06. Comes in Black, White, galaxy gray and copper red. The only suspension change is urethane filled cross members. Over a GT your paying for the interior, CD changer, sat radio and a couple of other things. I have to say I like the Shinka interior the best out of all the offered interiors.

Congrats man and enjoy it. I'm seriously considering a Copper red myself. Looked at one today and it was really nice looking.

Oops, I forgot about the SAT
which I'd gladly would have traded for the OEM NAV...

it's not cloth, it's alcantara leather, which is basically fake suede leather, probably a bitch to keep clean. On the upside... it doesn't crack.

I must say that altho I could never like or buy a white car, the shinka interior does go very very well with the white, it doesn't go at all with the darker colors.

too bad the satnav isn't available for the shinka (which I think is dumb)

YOu guys beat me to it! Hi, Whitedealershiprice is my twin brother. He actually fell in love with rotaries when I boght my first rx7. Then he came back to PR on vacation last year and we went to the track on my 8. Its the most fun ive had in a year. I am soooo glad he finally was able to get his, he's been lusting for one of this babies for a year.
I have to admit I am jelous of the:
sat radio, keyless entry/ start and other goodies the 2006 shinka has.
It just comes to prove twins can be separated by great distances, but they are still twins.
The only thing that sucks is that we cant take a picture of us together with our cars. (for those that didnt know, PR is an Island on the caribean so it would be pretty hard for us to drive and meet each other :-( )

anyway I am soooooo happy for him!!!!!
PS I willl try to photo shop a picture of both us and the cars together :-)

Nice! Lucky man

I wanted a white rx8 originally, but unfortunately the dealership didn't have a white shinka I've always been partial to black cars, so I went with a black shinka.... No regrets though!
