dealer is selling me a shinka black rx8 for about 27 or 25 forgot

they didnt come in black from what I understand..

if it's a 2005, they're asking too much.

 

06 shinkas came in many colors. Just look for the cream colored alcantara leather.

 

yea i like the interior its a weird color

plus i like the suede and the leader combo

 

Congrats you have yourself a shinka. Yes the seats are really nice and the suede holds you in place nicely. I'm tired of people getting hustled saying the dealer sold them a shinka and it really wasn't. You can probably talk him down a little more since it is an 06. Good luck with your purchase.

They came in Black, White, Gray, and a Copper Red, sort of Burnt orangish color). If it's sort of a Purplish black in the sun is and 05.....WAY too much money...Is it new? Look at the Kelly Blue book on it, and see what it says, price wise.they are almost 2 model years old, so you probably could get even a better deal..... Does it have SHINKA written on the sides between the doors.....and oriental script as well. The center console sides should be a black shiny high gloss or what they call "piano black", in an 06. The SHINKA is a package....some changes interior as well as an upgraded suspension...Good luck and keep us posted.

it was used with 20K miles

but smelled brand new and was practicallly perfect

I know what you mean in the morning under the rising sun it seems a slightly orange. It changes color depending on what mood it's in. I like it when it's deep dark red, that's when she is the fastest.

Bam-0 That was the shinka (briliant black) I originally wanted but had to wait for my wife to come back from her deployment so that she could see it and a week later it was sold. You can definitely talk them down with 20k miles on it.

There were no Shinkas in 05.

mysql101 is right man, there IS Shinka in '05 MY, Shinka Edition in '05 and only Black Cherry Mica was available. '05 comes with flip blade key.

In '06 MY, Shinka became a package and were available in Copper Red, Brilliant Black, Galaxy Gray, and Snowflake White Pearl.

Smart Key started from '06 GT and Shinka Model, '07 GT only, '08 GT and 40th Anniversary Edition.

That's odd, I was looking at the Shinkas before I bought my 8 and the sales person said that it's a limited edition for 06 only... thank god I didn't buy from him and that dealer... by the way, this is Mazda of Orange (On Katella and Main).

 

Doesn't surprise me. Seems like sales people will say anything to get you to buy what they have in stock, it is true that they are a limited edition and that they didn't make any in 07. Just 05 and 06.

 

I got my black '06 Shinka with 10k miles for 22.9k and that probably could have been lower. Don't pay 25.

 

got my gray 06 shinka with only 1200mi on the clock for 25. i'm sure you can talk him down.

 

mine had 124 miles on her.......didn't have much room to bargain in July of 06, but they paid off my 05 Mustang GT w/ no money down.....so I was happy.

Sounds a little high. I paid $27,046 (plus taxes) for a new (12 miles), leftover '05 Shinka in February, '06.
