Shipping a Bumper

Shipping a Bumper
Anyone who has, please chime in. I am trying to find out how to get shipping quotes on a bumper, and ultimately ship it, but it is too big for Fed Ex and UPS. How have you guys shipped them before? I received my new bumper through Greyhound, but when I tried to get a quote with the same dimensions, it said it was too big. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

greyhound they charged me loke 60 bucks to ship a bumper.. other places wanted outragious amounts of cash 180 just to ship it that excluded packaging it.. soo i suggest u make your own box.. i made of connected several of them i think it took 5 boxes to make a really big one =]

don't bother getting an online quote, just GO TO greyhound WITH the bumper. unless you have some weird box, it will fit, i just shipped one w/ them a few weeks back. it cost about $80 to go from Austin, TX to Ohio. it is the cheapest way, don't bother with the quote, i'd just showed up and did it.
fyi - my box was "3 inches short from their max dimension". so, if you're ballparking your estimate or if you're allowing for "extra" cushion on the longest side, that might be your problem...ghound DOES have a limit to the size, but i promise in a box just the right size, it will fit. you may just have to cut an end down on your current box or something...
