Shipping internationally???

ok, ive got a new veilside body kit for sale and i was offered $5000 to ship it to holland, could you guys that have expirience with shipping internationally look over this letter i got and make sure im not getting screwed in anyway?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for your reply. I would still need you to send your
fullname and telephone number so that I can instruct my colleague to send
the check to you immediately. I have spoken with my shipper
and he advised that I send his shipping charges together with your
payment in the check I send to you. Because if I send him a seperate
check it would take about 30 working days to clear the check in uk,
while it takes only 3 working days for the check to be cleared in the
United States. So I would have to instruct my colleague to send you a money order check
of $5,000 Then you will deduct your own portion with a 50 compesation for
the stress you go throuhgh which makes the total of $1550 for the payment of the
Inlaid Antique 1550 the items
send the balance to the shipping company in order to
come over to the usa for pick up of the items
from your house and other
items which i have in trinidad and tobaggo. Please I would
need you to do me this favour to avoid any delay. Thanks for your
understanding.

As soon as I read, "so that I can instruct my colleague to send the check", I knew it was a scam. Cease any communications with this joker.

yikes... the scary part is you were REALLY close to getting scammed, my friend, you are going to be in for a harsh awakening in the future.

Here's the #1 tip for selling something online. NEVER SHIP OVERSEAS. NEVER ACCEPT MORE MONEY THAN WHAT YOU'RE ASKING. (c'mon, how many times do you go to your local target and demand to pay 3 dollars for that 1 dollar candybar ). I'm not trying to screw overseas guys. But unless it's someone you know WELL (ie through forums, etc). DO NOT SELL OVERSEAS (wire transfer maybe as well, but hell who in their right mind would just wire transfer money overseas either???)

I thought everyone had learned already??? Be glad you got caught early, these guys are making a KILLING.

firechicken, if you want to work with me I'm working on trapping these guys, if you can keep this guy delayed for a while, let me know, I wanna work with you with getting mor einformation about where these guys are sending these emails from.

I plan on making an overseas trip in the future

It's quite obvious that it's a scam. Just ignore any further emails.

Just tell this guy YOU ONLY ACCEPT WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER. WU money transfer is guranteed payment - that's why this guy wants YOU to use it when sending money to him. A certified check is not guaranteed - it can be stopped. Even if you deposit it and it is cleared by your bank IT CAN STILL BE REVERSED. Absolutely, positively a scam.
