Should Mazda give the 8 60/40 fold down rear seats?
Just think about how much more cargo space you can get with the suicide door layout and fold down rear seats. A sports car that can seat 4 and can semi move furniture...

Ahh, no. Even if the seats did fold down, they'd still have to sit on top of the driveline tunnel. You have maybe 2.5' - 3' between the top of the tunnel and the ceiling. Then, consider how small the openings to the rear half of the car are.

you dont need fold down seats to move furniture. plus speculation is stupid. its not like mazda is going to read this and decide to give future 8s fold down seats. and even if they did, yours still wouldnt.

I think the FCs were hatchbacks? Hella cargo space there. Shoulda kept that for the RX8. Way more practical than back seats. Babies are basically cargo anyway.
OK so hatches have less torsional rigidity or whatever. But so do suicide doors, so they could have used all the weight they spent on the "virtual B pillar" making a 370RX.
