Show me your premix kit

From the people who premix on here, would you mind snapping a pic of your premix kit goodies and how your store them?

Typically, a premix kit would contain a bottle of two stroke, a funnel, and a rag. the problem I have had in the past with my older rotaries, is that not all of the oil leaves the funnel, and makes a mess wherever you put it. Plus a funnel is kinda bulky.

So what do? Where and how do you store your premix items in your car?

My kit for my FC consisted of a cardboard box with a plastic bag liner, sitting in a stripped cargo bin, no carpet or anything :P

I know of one fella on the 7club boards who would measure out his premix for the week in 16oz see through cylindrical soap containers, and he was able to simply shove it in the fuel door hole and pour away. Screw the cap on and forget about it until the next fuel light comes on.

This is all you need . 1L bottle with visi strip and a rag . No funnel is necessary .

I still prefer a funnel as it is always messy without one. Especially if the premix container is full.

I haven't ever had a problem either, I keep a roll of shop towels in the trunk, in case of any other emergencies, never needed for the premix tho.

I am using about 6 oz of Idemitsu per tank these days, I keep in these bottles in the passenger map pocket.

I have been premixing my premix based on someone's suggestion here. The 20 oz water bottle came from here too. I have marks on the water bottle. I come home from buying gas (2 miles away) and then pour in the 2 stroke and gas and mix it in the water bottle. Then when I leave on my next errand, pour the premix in the tank and shake it in on my drive. For the times I am not home, I have a bottle of Idemitzu which I feel mixes better than some 2Ts.

I am not scientific about it, but rather practical. I took some joint juice bottles (8 fl oz) fill it to about 3/4 ways. I have that point marked. Then I just pour the contents into the gas tank when I fill up. I keep two of these bottles in a zip lock bag. Simple enough?

I'm clumbsy as hell, but I take a quart bottle of Mobil 2t or when I run out maybe Castrol rss 2t, and I just give the bottle a slight tip, look at clear side gauge, and that's nearly always 4-6oz.

I use the 6 quart box to carry one or two premix bottles and motor oil, window cleaner, Turtle spray detailer, and plastic polish.

I found about a 6inch deep Rubbermaid plastic box at Target that perfectly fits the indentation in the truck for less than $10, and it's high enough to hold the box to the side without sliding.

Sorry no pic, but very neat, and have small plastic funnel only for mo.

I just pour the Idemitsu in. Wipe up anything left behind. Seems easy enough? I haven't found any good containers that are 7 ounces yet.

Most 2 stroke oils have some kind of funnel that pops out. Problem solved

I have eight of these. Three I keep in the car for use whenever I need to stop at a gas station. Much more neat than the funnel and measuring cup I had before, or the two-stroke syringe I had before that.

I bought a few clear plastic travel bottles with ounces listed on the side.

I wipe the funnel out with a blue paper towel and then push it down the hole. Never had an issue with it leaking on my work bench.

I used to throw my premix in the cargo net until it spilled once. It made all the written ink on my dorm parking violation tickets disappear , not that it matters since I never pay them. I keep the premix strapped to the compression kit now. I have been contemplating about getting a large syringe.

Keep my Idemistu in the garage.
I pre-mix 6oz per tank and I actually use a top from a laundry detergent bottle that I found that holds exactly 3oz, and fits nicely with our filler neck. So, I just fill it up twice and dump it in. Paper towel over the top of the capped Idemistu bottle and laundry detergent cap slides right on top of that......that's how it's stored.
Then I go fill up which is less than 1/6 of a mile from the house.

Pretty much keep my PM strapped in the trunk to the road hazard kit. No funnel, but I try to eye 4 oz when pouring in the gas station, although it has been a bit hard lately with the cold weather and the thick color of the amsoil lol. I really like those little tubes that are in the link a few posts back.

I found using an old bottle of Stabil works quite well.

You can fill it up with whatever premix you choose and you can measure it out an ounce at a time. I don't always fill the tank up when hitting up the gas station. It's nice to be able to put in the right amount for how much I'm putting in the tank. And the long neck makes it nice and easy to get it in the tank with no mess.

Can anyone guess what these are? If you guessed it right, these are bottles for "mommy's breast milk"!!! LOL, anyway, picked it up from the pediatrics floor. Measures both ounces and milliliters; simple, compact, ready, and fits perfectly to be poured in the gas tank... No funnel, no rags, no mess!

Okay...sorry if my post is too newb, but I really don't understand some of the pre-mix comments. When I used to mix fuel for my 2-stroke bike, it was enough fuel to fill the tank; ten oz. to five gallons of fuel. What is the point of mixing and carrying around a small bottle of premixed fuel that is not the right ratio? Why would anyone carry fuel around in their car, especially in a non DOT approved container? It makes a lot more sense to add the correct amount of oil to the tank at fill up. Am I completely misunderstanding the intent?

they carry the 2 stroke oil around in a container. then add it to the tank before putting gas in while filling up. i use a 8oz amsoil saber bottle around with 4oz in it for each fill up. then i refill when i get home.
