Show me your premix kit

I used to use 5 bottles of chevron techron fuel injector cleaner for my premix needs.
I would measure out 1 oz, 2 oz, 4 oz, 8 oz and 16 oz at home, and label according.
I can make any whole number up to 31 with those bottles. When some were used, I would fill back the ones that were used with more Idemitsu.

I started a thread and then was pointed to this one. I just got these in and thought I would share. I normally used 8 oz. Amsoil bottles that I had saved over the years. The problem with them is the necks are not long enough to push the flapper on the filler neck back, then it does not drain.
I found these bottles online and they are very cheap to buy and I think, a great solution. The longer necks will allow me to pour the oil in and push the flapper away so it drains down the neck.
Cone Top Bottles Complete with Caps | U.S. Plastic Corp.
They just arrived today. Total cost with shipping for 20 bottles was $20.

I use idemitsu premix pretty regularly. I used to use a small laundry detergent measuring cup, but it was too messy because I didnt want to bring a funnel around with me.
Now I just bring the bottle with me and I eyeball it. I will find a better measuring source but for now on a full tank being off by 1oz or so I doubt would make a big difference for me. I'd jsut rather not put too much in and be running on 2-stroke oil instead of high octane gas.

I filled a bunch of my bottles this evening in anticipation of a short road trip and Autocross coming up.
I filled some for my RX7 and RX8, 6 oz. for the RX8 and 8 oz. for the RX7.
Now I am working on a in car storage solution.

i use primarily full synthetic 2 stroke Bel Ray Si-7. I get it from the local bike shop. If that is out, I buy the redline 2 stroke red oil.
My method is not the best for the environment lol. I get a box of small 4 or 5 oz paper cups, use once and throw away. Since the paper cups are bendable, it is easy to put in the tank with no spill

Can some one tell me what will be the proper ratio for my S2 RX8, I will like to start premix . New RX8 owner here previously had RX7 S1 and S2 . join the club not too long ago, spend time reading on older treads about oils and premix. Always use synthetic on my previous RX7’s 15 to 24 years ago, never a problem. Use to street drag race in Puerto Rico and after 15 years decide to buy a rotary again enjoying every minute on the road. Currently in Phoenix AZ

The exact amount is up for debate if the 3rd injector is enough to justify using less than the series 1 owners tend to run. In spite of this I believe the majority of S2 owners that premix, do so at between 6-8 oz per fill up (which for most people means filling the tank to full from 1/4 left). I premix at 0.5 oz / gallon or less (usually a bit less). I use a 60 cc syringe to measure it out and wrap the syringe in a towel, and put that in a plastic bag which gets stored in the trunk along with a pair of nitrile gloves that I reuse till they get too oily.

The Idemitsu quart bottles have ounce readings on the side in 8oz increments. I just go line to line until the bottle is empty, people seem tp recommend 6oz a tank but it wont make a difference.. I keep it in the rear cubby, and I see no need for a funnel unless you got parkinson's

I own
a series one 2004 rx8. I use 6oz of idemsu to a full tank of fuel. I have abox in my trunk with my funnel and oil and a couple of rags. It's all good , just a matter of choice man. The pic shows Havolin 2 cycle oil. I started with idemso and now Havolin, when its gone another brand and so on.

Decided it was time to spruce up mine.
10 4oz bottles and an aluminum case to go where the spare tire kit goes, once I get threw all 10 bottls its time for on oil change, just a nice little reminder.

firecran, that is TWC-3:
And TWC-3....
And TWC-3....
I think some things should be clarified, after several PM's between me and STEALTH and doing some online research on TCW-3. It is definitely designed to be burnt and fully combust without leaving any residue or ash (if it is a synthetic ashless oil). It is made WITHOUT any metallic additives, as it is meant to burn ashless it does not contain any.
While it probably wouldn't do any harm to the car (besides the catalyst), the problem with TCW-3 lies within it's lubricating capabilities. It is not as good as an oil at lubricating as a ISO or JASO FC certified oil is. TCW-3 is an oil that is not good enough to lubricate snowmobiles and motorcycle engines, and has lead to failure to those engines that TCW-3 oils were used in. Not because the oil itself caused the failure, it just didn't serve it's purpose in lubricating the bearings and engine parts that needed lubricity, hence the failure.
So what I'm trying to get at is... TCW-3 oils suck as a lubricating oil. A JASO FC and ISO oil would do a much better job. TCW-3 premix is not the worst thing you can put in the car though, it shouldn't harm it, and it should lubricate some what, but it just isn't the best lubricant we would want for our engine; we would want to get the best we could in there. I just wanted to clarify this and explain some of these details, so that people using TCW-3 as premix don't get scared and think that they have potentially harmed their engine by using a oil with metallic particles (not true) that isn't meant to combust in their car (not true as well).
If you were using TCW-3 oils as I was, you should definitely switch to something else like idemitsu or any other 2-cycle oil JASO FC or ISO rated. This is one long assss thread, and reading through it is a pain, but if one does so you would find how contradicting a lot of the information is. I just wanted to make it easier for some people, and so that others don't make the same mistake I and many others have made.

Carbon: where did you get those bottles?
the ones I bought years ago tend to start leaking after a while. I guess I need to keep them upright at all times.
lately I'd gotten lazy and just put a few bottles in a zip lock bag and that was in the center pass through but if they tipped over, it turned into a mess.

I have 3 in the case, stored upright in the trunk and 7 in my garage stored upright also.
We will see how long they last. I just needed something that looked better than a bottle and a rag. Strive to just be better.
