side marker blinker issue
so i found a good diy about how to do this... only thing i was concerned about doing was cutting one of the black wires at the top of the connector on the side marker... only thing is there are two black wires....which needs to be cut? and why would this be cut completely? dont you need both wires running to something? i already cut some incorrect wires and one of my grounding wires for my parking light please advize

Well, I'm not sure about what wire. But it looks like you cut it completely. On that DIY there was a paint drawing, so to answer your one question, yes it gets completely chopped.

from the sounds of that DIY you're cutting the wire completely to you can wire in the blinker all the blinke is doing it controling power or ground....acts like a switch sort of....either cuts power or cuts ground to the light.....

well you might b able to find where the one is grounded somewhere nearby...but if not it really shouldn't matter I wouldn't think...all you are doing is breaking the connection to the bulb so whether u break the connection at the ground side or power side wouldn't matter...

from the DIY it seems that when he says is 3/4 don't work etc etc....that doesn'tt have anythng to do with the black wires you cut and solder to the blinker wire....it just has to do with the wires to the side marker connnector...whatever that means!

could you not strip a bit of the wire off, and test which is power and which is ground with a multimeter? and then use electrical tape to recover the stripped portion?
