Sign of a clogged Converter

Couldn't find a thread for this so I now i'm going to hear about it later. What are the signs if my catalytic converter is getting clogged? New engine in 09, automatic, and engine light not on. When on 4th gear (65mph usually) and I want to speed up to get around a slow car, it takes a while to kick. Is that normal or is it something I should be concerned?

Would you consider something else, isn't it a bit early for a two year old 8? Just wondering

I've also heard that a few of the early S2 cat's were failing prematurely.
Smurfy, you should check the Series 2 forums

Really, no luck searching for cat. failure symptoms?

4 related threads at the bottom of this page.

Anyway, yes cats can clog at any time. It seems to be a bit hit or miss or kicked off by flooding or bad ignition system.

He said new engine in 09, not that the car is an 09. Judging by the 4th gear @ 65mph, I'd say it's an 04 or 05 4 speed.

anyway. A rotten egg smell is often associated to burnt up cats as well.

Whats up with people now-a-days? Everyone is too lazy to research anything and want to be spoon fed like an f-ing baby!

I'm not a fan of spoon feeding. I prefer to suck on the teet.

Searching is tough. Catalytic is hard to spell.
